Wow. Another brutally windy day. What's with the wind this Spring? So tough to ride! I had hoped to get in 35 miles for the day, but ended up at 29.6. I didn't even have the energy to ride 4/10ths of a mile to round out at 30. That's how soul sapping the wind was.
I had a short window of time carved out for today's ride -- Chip had a lacrosse game I wanted to get back for -- but I stopped midway for a banana at Meadowbrook Farms anyway, essentially losing some of the time I'd set aside. I had dates and raisins in my back pocket, which is usually enough to support a two hour ride, but today I needed both the break from the wind and a banana-powered energy boost. Just a tough day.
