So much to be grateful for this year. Grateful for my sweet husband and amazing boys, who make every day a gift. Grateful for my family, friends, teammates, trainers, supporters, and community. Thankful for our health and wellness, and the ability to ride, run, snowboard, hike, and just move. I have much to be thankful for.
Since my blog is focused on the bike, it's fair to say I'm thankful for cycling, too. Good rides and bad rides. The opportunity to meet my goals and meet new friends. Being inspired. Overcoming challenges, and sadness, adversity and fallen trees. Thankful for the open road, even in the biting wind and scorching heat -- it always feels good to just ride. Grateful for the beauty of where we live and the wonder of it all, and the struggle of climbing a hill to reap the rewards of a gorgeous vista overlooking the ocean. How lucky are we?
Grateful for the men and women who serve our country; those who are in harm's way every day for our freedom, and those who are now home, thankfully safe. Grateful for the amazing warriors who made my ride in California an incredible experience, and continue to be in my heart. Thankful for every rider on every charity ride who stepped up to make a difference; for those volunteers at every rest stop who offered a smile, refilled a water bottle, or patched a scrape; and for the many friends and donors who generously wrote a check and made it all possible. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
