It's not comforting to know how close Michael K. was to the bomb blast. (Bomb blasts kill at least three, leave scores injured, Washington Post). Michael was closing in on the finish line and was less than 50 yards from the first explosion, and closer on the second. (He's quoted in the article.) I wish I didn't know this, MK.
We're truly thankful our beloved friends are safe -- and our thoughts and prayers continue for those suffering.
