Took Will out for a quick ride on his new road bike today. He did great for his first time out -- though he's not too thrilled with the hard seat. I kept telling him he'll get used to it, but I don't think he believed me! "Mom. It's my groin! How am I going to get used to it?" (I didn't have an answer for that.) He did fine shifting, but only worked himself down into the lower gears and hasn't managed the gears with his left hand yet. He's also more comfortable down in the drops for some reason.
Just a 1/2 hour ride through the neighborhood side streets -- but at least it's a start. Temps were in the mid 50's today!
