Encaustic Conference Weekend

Missed both the regular Cyclopath breakfast ride and the Sea Glass Ride in memory of Sue de Vries this weekend. The Fifth International Encaustic Conference took place in Provincetown, Mass this year, coincidentally held at the Provincetown Inn -- the finish line of the Pan Mass Challenge! Being at the P-town Inn in a different context was a little odd. No massive tent, shower trucks, grilled food and beer and of course... hundreds of cyclists milling about. It definitely felt like a different place. Instead I was surrounded by fabulous artists from around the country (and world) working in encaustic. A nice diversion for the weekend and very inspiring. A few of my art-acquaintances brought their bikes along. What was I thinking when I left mine at home? Will make up the miles missed this week.
